Some time ago I ended up with a few TF2 portrait sketches after one particularly sleepless night-

-and I haven't practiced painting in forever, so I asked my followers which one would they like me to colour. Veeeeery surprisingly the Sniper with a cig (smoking is evil but also hella sexy) won, so there he is.

And yes, it was based on a photo. A few photos, actually, most important of course being this one.
(Fun fact, two others were pictures of ladies.)

Sniper and browns just work so well together. This palette makes you feel all the heat, stuffy air and dirt, smell the smoke and sweat, but also gives the picture a calm and relaxed atmosphere at the same time. Very Sniper-ish, if you ask me.

Also holy puck, since when can I paint. I can remember sucking really, really bad and then it was suddenly "oh, I guess I'm kind of okay at that". When did the transition occur?
