And you made mine!! I have a perfect excuse to order prints now. You've posted a must have for me, and now I can say to my husband, "well, I HAVE to order more than just one to make the shipping worth it!!"

Wild!! How'd you get that ''stitched" look to it? It kind of reminds me of a fractalized baseball....with eyes...to avoid the bat...LOL Good work!!

NatalieKelsey In reply to patrx [2007-11-02 19:02:41 +0000 UTC]

Hehe! The "stitches" are an artifact of the julian. Make a grand julian, put a bubble fx on it, and then play with it in 3D. I got a dome looking thing like a tumor on the marble, and hated it...then I drew it inwards, and voila!

I haven't tried that on my GJ's and Bubbles yet. But the combo sure gives some neat effects, along with the 3D curl. By the way, any of your Kelsey ancestors married to a Buck? 6 generations back grand aunt was married to a Kelsey.

I'll have to check with my m-i-l, she's got the genealogy papers. That'd be interesting to find out!

patrx In reply to NatalieKelsey [2007-11-04 14:34:13 +0000 UTC]

I have 6 generations of Kelseys that go back from 1767 in Wethersfield, CT, from the John Kelsey family and back to the late 1500's with George Kelsey of Thorpe, Essex in England. It was part of the info that I got with my genealogy program. But, I do have the disk which includes the more current family groups that I didn't include on my tree. To save computer space I pruned a lot of the side trees to what was more relevant to my ''tree''. John was married to my 6th-grand aunt, Mary Buck, daughter of Ezekiel and Rachel (Andrews) Buck. And, they had a pretty big family, themselves....lots of offspring, that's for sure.

Oh, how lovely this is! Truly one of my most favorite of the 'marbleized' fractals that I've seen to date. This piece has such a classic and unique look and feel to it. Such elegance as this demands to be faved! (So shall it be done!)

omg: Wow, the details make it look like a fine and intracately painted orb. Perhaps a fancy Christmas ornament. It actully reminds me of time-travel. The brown area is like this old-time brass clocks and compasses which show their fine working parts, yet the grey areas have a high-tech appeal to them.
