Description
He had been flying for an hour to a certain destination that he had in mind. Vegeta wasn't sure why he wanted to go there so bad… it held too many memories. Memories that he wasn't sure he wanted to relive at the moment. But something inside of him urged him to go, it was still his thinking place and that wretched woman wouldn't rob him of that too. He was heading toward their beach house, a place they spent many nights together. It wasn't that far from Capsule corps and he could have been there within 20 minutes but he was in no rush.

Finally he touched down at his destination. He took a deep breath and slowly exhaled while he looked at what was in front of him. It was late in the afternoon and the sun would set soon. 'Damn, I couldn't have picked a worst time to come. It looks beautiful out… just like that first night…'

Flashback:

Bulma and Vegeta had left one year old Trunks with Bulma's parents and took a much needed vacation. They needed a few days to settle out how they would go through life from there. They were going to decide if Vegeta was going to stay in their life and just train Trunks, or be an actual father. Or if he was just going to leave Earth since the whole Cell thing was said and done. There was no way they would be able to discuss it back at Capsule Corps, there were too many distractions. So Bulma figured it would be best to talk about it at her beach house, giving them a chance to be isolated from everyone.

It was late in the afternoon during a day in August and the sky was the color of the fall leaves, beautiful and radiant. The wind was softly blowing, rustling the leaves from the palm tree. And the ocean just stretched out for what seemed like forever. The color was a deep blue, but not quite as blue as Bulma's sapphire eyes. Vegeta would always get lost in their depths; they were so beautiful and pure. He loved it and everything about her.

She never ceased to amaze him. She was so fierce, and even though she wasn't physically strong, she sure as hell was mentally. He gave her competition, she never backed down from a challenge he threw her way. And being as he was a Saiyan, striving to be the best was in his blood and evidently hers too. She was his equal and he never in his life time saw anyone as his equal. Everyone was always inferior to him, except her.

"So," she said almost in a whisper "Where do we go from here…" She did not look at him in the eye when she asked. She feared that she already knew the answer, and that he was planning on leaving Earth. Bulma refused to look him, it was one thing to hear him tell her he was leaving, but she knew she wasn't strong enough to see it in his eyes. She loved him too much and she had always thought he never had that love for her in return. To see him confirm it in his eyes would have been devastating.

"I've given it a lot of thought…" he didn't my eye contact with her either. Instead he was staring up at the sky; he wasn't sure how he would tell her. He was already struggling with his pride by saying it, but if he watched her as he told her… he would feel vulnerable and weak. "I… want to stay. I'm going to be a father to my son. And I…"

"You're staying?! Oh Kami I didn't think-"

"Silence woman! Let me finish before I change my mind… I… love you. I want to be your mate."

Bulma was hysterically crying right now. She never in her wildest dreams would have thought he would ever say those words to her, yet here he was, proving her wrong. He turned to Bulma and gave her a soft look, one she had never seen before. He tilted her head, leaned in and kissed her. His kiss wasn't full of eagerness or need, but passion and love. She didn't think he was capable of being so tender. Then he trailed his kisses down to her left side of her neck. Out of nowhere he bit down and she screamed out in pain.

"That means you are forever mine. You are bonded to me, as I am to you. I will feel what you feel as you will feel what I feel. We are now one."

"I love you Vegeta"

End of flashback.

A small tear fell down his cheek. Now he knew why he never loved anyone before, he knew it was going to hurt. More than any pain he's ever experienced. And he was right.

Bulma was rummaging through all her drawers in search for something, throwing everything across the room. Finally she achieved what she was looking for. She took the piece of paper and shoved it into her purse, and she took at Vegeta had crumpled early and put it in her purse as well.

"Okay now where did he go… oh kami where…" she was pacing back and forth and accidently walked into her night stand knocking down a picture frame. She bent down to pick it up and when she flipped it over it was a picture of Vegeta looking at the sunset at their beach house.

"I miss that day so much… I wish I could go back… wait, that's it!" She ran down the stairs, into her hover car and flew to the beach house. "He's there, he has to be… I just know it." After an hour of flying she saw Vegeta sitting in front of the beach house, staring out into the darkening sky. Vegeta felt her Ki and shifted a bit 'It was only a matter of time until she figured it out'

"Go away woman, I don't want to be around you right now."

"I know, but please just listen to me Vegeta. I understand why you're mad and you have every right to be. But I didn't cheat on you. I would die before I would ever let any man touch me the way you do."

"And why should I believe you now? You hid that from me for a reason and-"

"I know but it wasn't because I hooked up with Yamcha. Here, just read this and you'll understand." She handed him the note. He examined it, contemplating whether or not he should even give her that much. He decided against his better judgment and took the letter.

"Dear Yamcha,
How dare you. I love Vegeta and I always will. Yeah he made some mistakes but everyone does and you sure as hell made a lot when we were together. I broke it off with you because I couldn't trust you, and what's a relationship without love and trust? You cheated on me more then I can remember and you're telling me I'll 'regret' it? No sweetie. Just because you can't find anyone who will put up with your crap now, doesn't mean I'll go running back to you just so I can be put through that again. Vegeta never made me feel the way you made me feel. You made me feel like I wasn't worth a dime, like I wasn't enough to keep you from being with another woman behind my back. So thanks for your 'concern' but I don't need it nor want it. In fact, it seems like you need me. And if you can't get over the fact that I'm not running back to you this time and that I love Vegeta now then just don't even bother coming around anymore. It will never happen, we're done. Move on with your life, I have.

Bulma."

Vegeta was taken aback. But how can he believe this? How does he know that she didn't just write it before she met him over here and try to "prove her innocence"? He looked more closely at the letter and noticed that it was a copy. This was a scanned version of her mysterious "reply" to that low life bastard.

"I had to scan my letter and keep it as proof. That's why I also kept his letter he sent me… I've known Yamcha long enough, and I knew that he might have told you I wanted to be with him and that I wrote him the letter and try to get you to doubt me. So then I would be hurt and run back to him… he would and has done something that low before and I did not want that to happen between me and you. I love you too much and I would die if I ever lost you…. That's why I had the letter. That's why I scanned mine. Proof and nothing more, I swear on my life Vegeta."

He couldn't tell if she was being honest or not. He long lost the ability to tell what she was feeling by just studying her eyes and face. He would get lost into her ocean like eyes and drown in them. So he closed his eyes and just listened to his heart for once. He connected through her with the bond to tell once and for all if she was lying or not. Her heart didn't race, or skip a beat, and her adrenaline didn't spike… which meant that she was telling the truth. He sighed in relief and smiled. He slowly opened his eyes and met Bulma's gaze.

"I believe you."

She fell to the sand and just cried. He pulled her to him and held her in his embrace. "Vegeta thank you so much, I will never do anything like that again. No more secrets and no more hiding anything. I'm so sorry that I hurt you."

"Shhh it's okay, let's not dwell on that anymore. You are here with me and that's all that matters. But Bulma…"

"Yeah 'Geta?"

"I am going to kick his ass tomorrow."

"Whatever you say baby"
