Did you know that a snail can slide over a razor blade without being hurt! How can it do this?
To help it to move the snail produces slime. This slime protects the snail and enables it to glide over extremely sharp objects wthout being injured.
You can often see slime trails on paths, walls and windows.
Snails are GASTROPODS.
Gastropod means " Belly footed animal." Snails are just a part of as many as 50000 kinds of species of mollusc that live on land and sea.

A razor blade? Hmmmm... Interestingly enough, my mother puts egg shells around her garden to prevent snails to go in, thinking that the edges can be harmful. I think that I will tell her to challenge this idea
