Description
Walking the cobble stone streets of old town Tallinn, Estonia I came accross a man who was both stumbling and gliding along a wall, it caught my eye and begged me to capture it...disturbing but somehow beautiful all in the same moment.The lighting was perfect the camera in hand I snapped a couple of shots, this was the result...it was only later that I noticed the shadow and what it reminded me of.

Nice capture! The chaotic movement of the cobble stone, peeling paint, cracked wall and his stance against the symmetry of the tile wall and windows really tells a story, doesn't it? Then throw in the shadow of hope!

Very nicely captured....a moment in this fellow's life that shows how lonely perhaps he is and how wasted perhaps his life has been. His stance is askew as are his clothes.....fumbling for a match for his smoke.

The light is absolutely gorgeous and you have used it well, the resulting shadow emphasises the subject as focal point and exagerates his size in the composition. I like this. Cheers my friend, Gerhardt

thanks darlin I am glad you liked it, this kind of work never gets the response of my other work ie nudes but I really thought it turned out well and am pleased that you saw the beauty in it too.

Yep, I think a lot of awesome photography sadly goes unnoticed if there is no nudity. I think we all have had that experience... even though I really love Artistic Nude, it is sad that some don't see anything other than nude...

yeah artistic nude is my favorite subject matter too...but there is indeed much more out there to be captured, around every corner. Cheers
