Description The Luddites who would not learn to swim
As the water rose and the tsunami came in
Flooding their world with its deadly force
Tried to resist with hands that splashed and spluttered, of course

They were offered boats and flippers and such
But they scoffed and sneered at them so much
They clung to their traditions of old, they refused
To embrace the new, to be confused

Only those who learned how to swim and glide
Were able to escape the deadly tide
The others, the luddites, were doomed to drown
As they held tight to their pride and their tools of renown

Their instruments became relics of a bygone age
As the waters receded, the Luddites' rage
Fizzled out, a memory of a time
When progress was feared, the era of their prime
