Oh haha, sorry it took me so long, I just haven't answered any comments for a while, just lack of time and then there were too many of them to deal with. But I try to take care of them again, I usually respond to all the comments on deviantart and don't want to give up on it. That's why I might have been silent for a while.
But anyway, you can always check the tags under the drawing, I usually put the names of the characters there

Yes, I'm considerate of people who might not know so I literally always put the characters' names in the tags that are just bellow the drawing (the only exception are my original characters, and I explain who they are in the description). Also, I never tell people they should know every popular character. I'm sorry you miss the tags but they're fast and functional so I'll just keep it like that. Anyway, no one said everyone has to know who's in the drawing, somethimes we can enjoy the art just like that

And if I was an artist, I would definitely love for everyone to understand what I drew, even if I have to explain a little. And fast and functional?....I didn't think it would take so much time to just putΒ "this is *fill in blank*Β from the show/book/game/anime calledΒ *fill in blank*". But then again, I'm not an artist, I write, so I don't know the thinking behind being vague or staying silent in description. Perhaps it adds to the mystery and "coolness"? I don't know, that's all up to you as an artist. I'm just trying to understand.

I like when people know what I had in mind creating a piece but some people don't care about it. Also, I don't see the reason to repeat the same information twice. You can read who and where the character's from in the tags so is it really necessary to write it again in the description? You say you haven't noticed the tags, some people don't notice description. I will answer questionsΒ about my art anyway. If you're observant you'll find the information you need, if not then you can always ask. And I know that some people don't mind saying the same thing many times but I'm usually rather terse. Which doesn't mean I don't put any info or ignore anyone.Β
