This image was created for GH-Mongo's art jam. [link]We were to create a picture with only the word "slow" to go on. I thought about it and figured that trees grow slow, so I came up with this evil tree that devours it's prey over a long period of time (that can be thought as slow as well), sucking the nutrients out of it's victims bodies. The process takes so long that the bark has grown over the remains. So there you have it!

Seeing a skeleton inside a tree I instantly remembered an episode from the novel "Joe Golem and the Drowning City". I don't think you've read it, or you'd have the same thoughts)

...I've seen trees do this to fences, too, but the effect isn't nearly as interesting as when it's somebody's body. Excellent concept.
