So my wife looks at this picture as I was painting it and says "So what is that?" and I say "Well...I don't know". And she says "...hmm, it looks like some kind of beast". So I stuck with that for the tittle, "The Beast". Call it word association, it works.Related content

I just went to see King Kong and this beast looks like something out of that movie.
Well, no, it looks a lot cooler. The movie wasn't so hot, really.
I like the rays of light piercing through all that thick smoke, nice touch.
The limited colour palette works very well to give this a savage, primitive look.

Thundercats was a great show, then He-Man came out and the ratings began to slide. Then Lion-o started taking steroids, anything to recapture the spotlight, but it just couldn't beat the mass-appeal of Skeletor. Sad to see.
But what a great depiction of it!
