I've always though that the very first Prototype Jack looked like shit.

I like the Tekken Characters, they all have mature and age in each installment. Defenitly History in the Making and 1 of the Best Fighting Games of all time

Um... just look at them, their hideous. In the first game anyway, even though I do enjoy this game and the series. Also, I disagree about the recent Tekken games (except for maybe Tekken 6) the recent games were great! specially TTT2.

Don't get me wrong, bro. The gameplay is phenomenal, along with the graphics. The storylines, though, are awful. Everyone has a joke ending. It's just beyond goofy. They need to go back to serious endings. Paul should never have been turned into such a clown, nor should Heihachi have. The only thing I liked in recent times is the Armor King storyline. It's intriguing but not enough to make me say the recent games as a whole have been great. Also, characters like fucking Lars, Bob, Leo, Asuka, Lili, and others are epic failures.
I know fighting games need new people but the only new people I've liked thus far are Raven, Feng, Dragunov, and Zafina. Everyone else sucks (Jinpachi and Azazel included). We need the classics back, like Jun, Michelle, and OGRE!

You are aware that Jin killed Ogre during the events of Tekken 3 along with the fact that Jun and Michelle are presumed to be dead.

Presumed does not mean officially dead. Namco hasn't said any character that you mentioned was officially killed off. Furthermore, who really stays "dead" in Tekken?

How about Jinpachi? Technically, he died beneath Hon Maru after he was imprisoned by Heihachi. Furthermore, again, Namco NEVER said any of the characters mentioned (Michelle, Ogre, etc.) being dead.

Jin had killed Ogre before Heihachi could capture Ogre.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU Shadow! Tekken 1 fans unite! The music in the OST of the first two Tekken games is phenomenal! So is the color scheme and backgrounds and characters, simply everything is 'adorable' or....endearing. That's the word I am looking for

In a video game, fighting game specially, story should be the least of your worries. Which by the way, I do disagree about the quality of the stories. joke endings? so Jin taking over the Mishima Zaibatsu is a joke ending? Kazuya defeating Jin and taking command is a joke ending? especially considering that the series has had joke endings ever since Tekken 2. Most of them are non-canon anyway, so why does it matter?
So you mean those really good characters are epic failures? Asuka is just a tomboy version of Jun... at least that's how I see her.
Guess what? TTT2 brings them back!.... I kinda liked Jinpachi....

Saying the story should be the least of the worries is just a philosophical view that I do not at all agree with. Really there is no right or wrong answer. For some- a story with a great game can be worth enduring if the gameplay is so-so. Like Final Fantasy X. I LOVE the story of that game, but the constant battles? So-so. Then there are games where the gameplay is great, but the story so-so. In truth games that have great story and gameplay are RARE. Batman: Arkham City is one of the few recent games that has both great story an gameplay. Anyway. Tekken had amazing story in the first 2 games and then it just started slipping. 3 is the most famous for it's graphical leaps. It went from looking like shit as a game to looking legit and being taken seriously. Also it had bonus modes besides better graphics. Story-wise tekken has gone downhill since the first 2 I'd say.

Maybe you should find a better comparison than an RPG game, after all RPGs really don't have much going for them but story.
I disagree big time with that, games with great story and gameplay are in fact not rare. Sonic Colors is a game with a great, simple plot, and fun as hell gameplay. Mega Man X8 is a game with good story and gameplay. These are not rare.
Look, a good story in a video game is nice and all, but if the gameplay, the very core of the game is boring, dull, uninteresting, then I will be disinclined to continue with the game no matter how good the plot is. That's actually the reason I didn't beat most RPGs I own, they bore me. They have a good plot, I admit, but the gameplay makes me lose interest really quick.
As for the story in the Tekken games, I have to disagree. The story in the first 2 games really aren't as good as you make them out to be. They were good, don't get me wrong, but they were nothing spectacular. Not to mention the fact that if you don't look up the story on the internet or something, then you won't know what the game's plot is. You can maybe get some guesses by the intros but that's it. In the first 3 games, the story takes a backseat to the gameplay, and trust me, I'm pretty sure that the plot is not one of the main reasons people love Tekken 3. I do disagree with the plot of the later games... they really aren't that bad.
