She seems to be dressed in ISO standard hero clothing, so I guess she isn't related to the Great King of Evil.

Very nice, well made piece. The anatomy and coloring are solid, and it's good to see someone who can draw a female character in actual clothing.
Well done.

Gorgeous, perfect outfit for a lady swashbuckler; feminine but practical. I like the look of the lady, attractive but a face strong in character. The two swords are great. I hire her for a dangerous mission without a qualm.

Beautiful. Do you do anatomy classes or anything? It's like, I know I have the potential to be able to draw like you, but I don't have the time, ever, to practice, ffff.
Any tips for that beautiful shading you do? <3

Thanks No I haven't taken any classes (although I'll be doing some life drawing sessions this summer with live nude models, can't waaaaait) but I practice drawing anatomy almost everyday, usually by just looking at pictures, stock and such things. All it takes is practice, and I have alloooooot of time on my hands right now xD It really sucks that you can't seem to find time, but it doesn't have to take long either! I take 10 minutes everyday to go on posemaniacs.com to practice figures and poses, I suggest trying the 30 second pose feature, makes you draw a bunch of poses in quick succession! I also like Characterdesigns.com although some of the photosets just look like porn :/
Well, my technique is called "eye dropping".... I think. I use the eye drop tool to blend my colors together, and I also only use hard edged brushes. I could share my brush settings with you, but I need to know what programs you usually use first?

I use Easy Paint Tool SAI, I'd loooove to know your brush settings, haha. I like the look of a hard brush more, too!
Thank you so much for the tips. c:

(SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG TO REPLY T-T)
Paint tool Sai huh? Well, I've never used that program before (although I've heard great things!) I'll try to explain in the most universal way possible xD
Ok, my brush is always on 100% hardness, 100% opacity and 100% flow. Pressure sensitivity is a must, "opacity jitter" and "flow jitter" are both set to "pen pressure". (I don't know if those things exist in Paint tool Sai? So I guess wherever you can change your brush settings in Sai, look for the setting "pen pressure"! ;o; That part is probably the mot important!) Also, I set the spacing at 1%, that way you don't get any of those pesky circles in your brush strokes!
So when it comes to actually painting, I use the eye-drop tool. I set really loose and messy base colors (I start very dark and add lighter and lighter colors as I go). For me (I use a mac) the short cut key for the eye drop tool is the "option key". I believe its the "alt" key otherwise. Anyways, use the eyedrop tool to blend colors together (if your settings are set right, it should work on 100% opacity and flow. If not, you can always set the flow lower, but I prefer the look at 100%) To blend, simply eyedrop the colors that get mixed together and continue painting that way until everything is nice and smooth (or depending on how clean a look you're going for. Personally I like the messy look ) It can be a little tricky at first, but you get used to it eventually!
And that's pretty much it. I hope that made even the slightest bit of sense!

Ooh, wicked. You use photoshop I assume? I do draw in photoshop, so I may try some of those things in there. Thank you so much! It made enough sense, haha. c:
