Oh ok then guess my age :evilaugh: (and no looking for it on my page, thats cheating)
Yeah thats totally awesome!!!! Yeah I like both Theatres and Movie acting, I've hardly done any movie acting so I think that would be a lot of fun to do
What kinda movie genre would you like to do?
Hmm I don't even really know what R&B music sounds like XD I like Pop, Contemporary and a Little Rap and I like a little of different genres like folk, classical, and techno.
This is kinda what I've been listening to for the past weeks [link] [link] [link] [link]
and then I like a lot of upbeat music like this ^^ [link] it makes me wanna put all the windows done in the car and have my hair blowing while I sing at the top of my lungs on a sunny day
The're all so amazing >.<
Yeah I actually haven't heard much Rihanna (actually the first time I really knew who she was was when I watched Batteship XD) The song is fun though ^^
Well I haven't always been confident to sing in church when I first came to my youth group I never thought I sang good enough to sing on stage. We went for a few months and my brother really wanted to audition for the youth band (he's always been amazing at singing) I didn't think I was good enough, but I just didn't want to be put on the sidelines while my brother became totally involved in the youth group(that had happened at my old church, I had always been known as my brothers little sister) so I decided to join band too
Now the first time I was going to sing I was sooo nervous, and I'm only singing backup, pretty much all unison with a harmony here and there XD I was constantly checking to make sure I knew the harmony right and that nothing I was wearing would distract me and that my throat wasn't dry. Now I'm so chill, I just grab my mike and walk on stage a minute before it starts(you get used to things pretty fast and then its not scary anymore) I'de be way more nervous to sing a solo by myself though, I've only done a solo once so far in my life. You just have to learn to conquer your stage fright and be confident in who you are and not care what people think (learn to do that and life will be a 100% more fun, you can goof off in public and not care )
Oh thats cool, is trumpet hard to play? And what exactly does a GCSE's help with? I googled it and its a 'General Certificate of Secondary Education'? You said it helps get you qualified for a job? (we don't have this in America so I'm kinda confused as to what it is)
Oh I don't take lessons I learn on my own (private lessons are expensive) I'm learning Piano right now, I'm just doing Chords though because I've tried to learn Site Reading for sooo long and never been much good at it, so I'm working up the patience to start it up again. Right now I just loooove playing Piano Chords
I have just started Vocal Lessons though, I've only gotten to go to 2 classes so far (the classes are free since I volunteer for singing at the church) I do the lessons with both my brothers and my Mom though (so its not private, though I wish it was because we all have such different voices from each other)
What type of voice do you have? Alto or Soprano? Basically is it easier for you to sing low or high?

WOOOWWW!! Looongg comment Umm...it's a bit too late for me to not check your pp (I did that ages ago ) Sorry Still, it's great that we're the same age
Theatre is a lot of fun; as part of the GCSE drama course, we're going to be seeing live theatre A LOT The whole drama group in Year 10 went to see one called 'The Day the Waters came'. It told the story of Hurricane Katrina; I swear, it was amazing . The accents, the spacing, the sensitivity of the characters...some people even started crying ; it was that realistic, especially the dramatic effects (hardly any props too)!!
The drama we do is more theatre based; right now we're doing a community play as a whole class (there’s two drama classes in year 10) and in my class, we have 3 sub-stories (kinda based on the Olympics). We were separated into 3 mini groups and we’ve put each of our group’s mini stories together to form one play. I’m the main character in my mini group’s story; I’m a young girl with a passion for music, but is bullied and pressured into becoming a doctor (the objective is that she has supposed to find confidence). I may have to sing in it!! If I do, it’ll probably be the first time most people hear me sing
It’s great that you over came your fears; if you have the confidence, you feel like you can do anything and that’s really cool, you and your brother being in a band!!
Oh, I’d love to do voiceovers for animated films, and do action, comedy, romantic comedy…maybe horror :artistic: What about you?? All the songs you’ve listened to are TOTALLY different from what I’d listen to; I still like them though ; especially the Maroon 5 payphone Jayesslee cover
R&B and pop/dance music is awesome; These songs have currently been spamming my ears [link] (the original by Jason Derulo is still awesome ^_^) [link] [link] [link] [link]
I really want to learn to sing 1-thing Amerie (the second link) It’s such an awesome song!! It’s easier for me to sing higher than lower ( I really need to practise ); I have a lot to learn. And I agree with you there; it can be quite…distracting (I’m not sure how to put it) when voices in a group of people you sing with (i.e. in this case your mum and brothers) differ to one another. At the end of the day, it’s fun but sometimes you just want to be in the limelight alone.
A trumpet is actually quite heavy and hard to play; but coming to think of it, all you’re doing is putting lips together while buzzing your lips (it can get very tickly…and messy ) and you have to learn to read notes as well as learn how to use valves (basically the equivalent of chords). But yeah, it’s quite fun ^^ I piano too; it can be quite confusing at times (reading notes…playing with BOTH hands) but it’s quite fun and sounds amazing!!
GCSE’s huh? Yeah, I thought you might get confused; yeah once we complete a course for a GCSE subject (the subject is compulsory i.e. Maths, English and Science and one humanity (like Religious Education)/ free choice of subject (i.e. drama)) you get a certificate to show you have that qualification. Those qualifications will be needed to get a job. In order to pass, you have to get a grade between A*-C. Trust me, you Americas are lucky; Everyone in the UK has to do this for 2 years!!! What kind of exams (if you do any) you do in America?

That's true, but how did you find out? I don't have my age posted on my site.... Well I guess if you looked at past pictures or past journals.
Wow that's awesome, yeah Live Drama is a lot of fun Did you say 'Year 10'? Sorry I'm not familiar with that term.
Oh that's so awesome!!!!! That sounds like a good story line too But I mean obviously your teachers have had to hear you sing to cast you for a singing role, so you must be good
I don't know about horror (I'm not much of a scary movie person, they stress me out ) Ide love to do Action movies and like Slice of Life movies I'm not much of a Romantic Movie person I like a little bit of it, but I think Kissing can be really gross >.<
Wow really XD That's funny, but of course they have looots of different genres for a reason ^^
Thats funny the Jayesslee cover was the one I would've thought you would like least
Yeah I know what you mean a lot of this music is totally different than what I would normally listen too. I really like the first dude, I liked the whistling through out it ^^ I like the Wings song a lot too
Really its so much easier for me to sing lower than higher, I sing sooo deep and it bugs me a lot because the rang of singing that is like the range that's the most amazing for female vocals is the rang I'm the worst at
If you do want to practice I suggest just typing in 'Vocal Excersises' into Youtube and watching and if you make it a habit to do it every day it will expand your range a lot over a few months and you'll learn a lot of the technical stuff about singing too : )
Yeah I know exactly how that is, I like to be in the limelight too XD
Yeah that wouldn't be the instrument for me I really detest buzzing/lip drills my lips >>.<< it starts to itch and I hate that.
Yes Piano is so much fun I kinda gave up on Notes, and picked up Chords ( and I love chords) but I do want to learn notes too, because I know once I get it I'll like it. So probably within the next month I'll have to push myself into picking up notes again. I just get really frustrated at hard-complicated-thinking-stuff. XD
Yeah I've heard we are pretty lucky with a lot of stuff.
Well normal people take exams through out all of the school years, you usually have test day every Friday and then you have the big exams at the end of each semester. But since I'm home schooled I don't really take any of them XD
There isn't really like a specific exam that everyone takes, because there's so many different colleges that take different testing and all different stuff but I'll explain the basics.
If you do a normal 4 year high school and finish you get your High school Diploma, but see I want to finish High school Early so I'm planning to take a test called a GED which is sorta the equivalent of a High school Diploma.
Now after you have taken your GED or your High School Diploma and if you want to go to a College or a University you take either a ACT or a SAT (it differs depending on the college)

Yeah, I found out from your past journal
Live drama is a lot of fun, but I definitely prefer movie acting; I might come to America, when I’m old enough (and have enough money) to go to the New York Film Academy but still, that’s a dream for the long run…
Oh right, umm…here in the high schools in the UK, they split the pupils into different year groups, based on age (i.e. Year 10 is made up of pupils aged 14-15). I know right?! It really is a great story line!! We’ll be performing to another high school and our parents in the coming weeks
Some horror I can’t take, although I’d like to watch some Although, I did get freaked OUT when I first watch a cheesy version of Dracula at the age of 6 I had nightmares for WEEKS
I like romantic films, but not when it’s cheesy, or really…gross That’s true about having different genres of films; you can find what you’re really comfortable with
No, I liked Jayesslee cover the most
When it comes to singing, I really need to work on my low notes. I’m ok, but I can’t go as deep as I’d like to; I sing quite high sometimes when it’s not necessary Don’t worry; you’ll get better the more you practice Speaking of practice, I might try those vocal exercises on YouTube Thanks!
I agree with you about the trumpet; it was fun and all, but I really hate when my lips buzz. It’s just...unpleasant Yes, piano is my number 1 choice of instrument; It’s quite easy learning chords, but learning notes is harder, especially the types of notes The more practice you get, the better you’ll become I’m sure you’ll be great Do you play with your right hand, left hand or both? I’d get so frustrated when playing with both hands
Tests, EVERY FRIDAY???!!! I don’t think I’d be able to take that Umm…what’s a semester?? I’ve heard of it but I’m not sure what it is. Here, we have terms (I’ll explain later ) Oh, you’re home schooled? Cool but how come?? Oh right, now I understand how you’re schooling system works Thanks At what age do kids normally leave school in the USA?? Here, we have our GCSE years (2 years of examinations…fail on what I said before about taking tests every Friday ) and we can either leave school at 16 with qualifications, or continue to do our A-levels for another 2 years before going college or uni (so then, we’d be 18).
Woah, our conversations get longer and longer

Wow shows how smart I am XD
Yeah but dream big! Nothings going to happen if you never shoot for anything.
Hmm intresting, All the required general grades are 1st-12th
Elementry School - 1st-5th grade. Usually ages 6-11
(so your 6 and your in 1st grade, your 7 and your in 2nd grade ect)
Then Middle School (or Junior High) - 6th-8th Grade. Usually 11-13
Then High School 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade, its also called Freshmen, Sophtomore, Junior, Senior (I have no idea why *.*) Ages 14-18
We both would be Freshmen
And then you can choose to go to Junior Colleges, Colleges or Univesity's. Which is when you decide what job you want to do. A college degree is generally 4 years but people can go for way longer than that if they have a medical job or are a lawyer.
Haha yeah I got creeped out by Lord of The Rings when I was like 4, I saw the part when this HUUUGE Spider was going to eat someone, and I had nightmares for ages >.<
Yeah I don't like romantic-grossness either
Yeah do it, singing is an amazing trait to pracitce and have
Well with Chords I play the chord on the right hand and then I octave the note on the left hand I mean you have to be able to use both hands XD
Well the Tests on Friday arn't like big tests, they are smaller tests to make sure you understand what you've been learning all week. And teachers also do what they call 'Pop Quizes' were on a random day at a random time they give you a short test to make sure you are on your toes with learning... its quiet cruel sounding when I write it all out XD
Well most commonly in a school year we have 2 semesters (there are some schools that do school year round, but those arn't very common, I'm going off of public schools on most of this)
The first semester starts in September-January and then the 2nd Semester is Feburay-June.
We have several breaks throughout the years too, Summer break is the biggest June-September, then we have Thanksgiving Break which is like a week then Christmas Break which is like 2 weeks, there is Easter/Spring Break which is like 2 weeks. And of course through out the school years there is one day breaks such as Culumbus Day, Memorial Weekend, Dead Presidents Birthdays, Teachers Day, and in Winter if you live someplace where it snows a lot you can get off of school for a snow day.
Now when I said about the big Semester Tests are like the big evaluation Tests, Right before the 2nd Semester Ends there is a hug testing week, that is the Semester Test. And there are also tests with names like the CAT and stuff but I'm not so familiar with those, since I'm homeschooled.
I'm homeschooled because most schools are really rough, like the kids take drugs, smoke, party, get drunk and cuss and there is sooo much drama and just a bunch of lame stuff, there is also a loooot of bullying and tons of Suicides in schools. It really sucks, but sadly that's what its turned into Also you learn just a bunch of useless nonsense for years and years
Kids that are Homeschooled generally end up better XD And my familly moves a lot too and my Mom got sick of enrolling me in different schools.
17 or 18,when you finish highschool, is what the last required education is. Some people drop out of highschool, but you can't really get anywhere without at least a highschool degree, its really looked down upon to be a 'Highschool Drop Out' its practically looked down upon to not go to college *rolls eyes*
Haha yes they are getting longer XD

First off, A MAJOR MASSIVE SORRY for the extremely late reply
Life kinda flies by
Wow, the American grading system is so...large(?)
Yeah and what’s with all the names?
Still, it’s kinda cool (In the Uk we have boring Reception, Year 1, Year 2 etc...:lazy: )
Freshmen...I quite like that
The university/ college thing is pretty similar here in the UK, except the fees here are so expensive (stupid government ) that people may not even be able to go university or they have to get a student loan
Ugghh I HATE LOTR (my friend LOVES it though ) Giant...spider...eating...oh dear god *turns freakishly pale and shivers devilishly, before going out cold*
I have been practicing and then I got a sore throat/cold which stopped me from singing for a while. I’m getting back into practice though Have you heard/ seen the film Pitch Perfect? I learned the whole ‘No Diggity’ rap and song that she sings :sings: #awesomeness
Oh that’s actually pretty good about the mini tests! Makes sure you actually ‘remember’ everything rather than think your notes are in a foreign language And all the breaks You have an easy life in America, I swear We get typically 6-7 ½ weeks summer holiday, 1 week for half term ( we have three terms: Autumn, Spring and Summer*) so an extra three weeks. Then we get 2 weeks off for the spring and autumn term each. So altogether 13-14 and a half weeks ( so 3 and a bit months) holiday, including all our inset days/ bank holidays.
Oh I see: speaking of exams, I may be going on a little hiatus to revise for my exams coming up (which I will make a journal entry on). Its so ridiculous- 11 EXAMS, one of which is my 5hr art exam. That’s ALL 5 periods!
Ahh, that’s true! Fair enough about the schools being rough. Lucky you, being home schooled, I wondered what it’d be like to be home schooled. Isn’t it kinda lonely?? ( Sorry, I don’t know how home schooling works )
Same here, however you can either leave school at 16 or continue with Further Education (6th Form) to get you’re A-levels and then go to Uni.
…I miss playing a piano
Speaking of which, me and…you know had a 1 and a half hour long convo on mobile and over 2 days on WhatsApp! Time flies…

Its alright, this is super late as well! I'm so sorry as well! And I'm working hard on your picture, so no fear, it will be done soon!
Well idk, it seems just a normal size when you've grown up with it just being the way it is.
Well now going into the next school year we will be Sophomores
My goodness College costs an arm and a leg here! Everyone gets a student loan and they are paying off their student loans into their 40's and 50's. Its so sad! And quiet interesting because in Norway (thats where my Mom is from) theres public colleges that are free to study at! I want that!
Yah LOTR is very scary, the Hobbit was a pretty good movie though.
I actually haven't seen pitch perfect, it was funny a couple weeks ago I started singing a song, and a couple of my friends were like "OH!! YOUR SINGING FROM PITCH PERFECT!!!!" and I'm like nooo, that was a song before pitch perfect......akward....XD
Haha it just depends on the school system and such, I have it really easy since I am homeschooled Soo glad I don't have to do exams!
Yes Homeschooling is a lonely boat, but theres differnent "homeschool" groups you can be apart of and such like that, almost all of my friends I know from church so I do have friends
Wow how are things progressing with said guy??????

CrazyCapricorn In reply to Natsu-Blossom [2013-08-04 21:58:22 +0000 UTC]
Already seen it: LOVE IT!!
Well, I guess I can relate to the normal size thing.
Say, how many people would be in a class/ grade??
Here, typically it would be around 30 in each class in Primary school (basically like Elementary school if you're confused by that term)
But it changes slightly when you get to high school: you'd get 6 forms per year group and then for your put into teaching groups for 3 years with the same kids for each subject until you start with you're GCSE's. Seems kinda tiresome being stuck with the same annoying kids for three years in your class but you actually miss it Form groups tend to be around 30 people but teaching groups, heck even GCSE classes tend to be no more than 19-25 people (with exceptions for particular subjects)
Into their 40s and 50s??? Now that's just sad Blame George Bush! But seriously, that much?Wow, I don't even think student loans in the UK are THAT expensive (!) But I guess you can't really see that here, seeing as people are too broke to even afford to pay back the student loan in the first place. Lucky!!! Free public colleges in Norway? Why can't we all have that?
Ugh, no, I don't know if I can get myself through the LOTR series, heck even the animated series, before I could even consider watching The Hobbit I dunno maybe one day I'll check it out
LOL that's happened here too with one of my other friends.
Watch it: it will change your life and make you want to be part of an Acapella group!
Lucky you don't have to do exams
Ah it's good that they have groups like that. Oh if only I was home schooled!
Trust me, nothing's happening with said guy: he's still with her as far as I know and even though we're still close friends, I'm actually over him. But honestly, most of the guys in the school are either jerks, I'm out of THEIR league in terms of EVERYTHING (meh, sad but true) or they're taken
Hopefully in Uni (that's if I go) or even in 6th form I may meet someone
Anyways, how about you?
...
I'm referring to life and guys too BTW

Natsu-Blossom In reply to CrazyCapricorn [2013-08-30 00:53:13 +0000 UTC]
I'm not sure about grade, it heavily depends on the size of the school. Schools themselves could have a like a thousand kids or so, depending on the size of the school. Only 20-30 or so students in an individual class, but colleges can have much, much more.
Haha I don't really think George Bush is the one to blame, he was actually a pretty good president, way better than Obama is right now.
College was a whole lot cheaper back in the day though. I was talking with my Aunt about it, shes in her mid 40's and she said that she had saved a bit of money and then payed off her college by working hard throughout the summer. By the time she finished her 5 or 6 years of college, it was all payed off.
I was talking with my cousin from Norway about it, and yes there are free colleges there, but she said there are some colleges you need to pay for, but they arent that expensive.
Hahaha if I get the opprotunity to see Pitch Perfect than I will Have you ever heard of a accapella group called Penatonics? www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSUFzC… haha I know its a little early for a Christmas Song.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=lExW80…
Aw well sad to hear, but I completely understand that. Welllll theres really not much going on as far as guys in my life. Remember me mentioning this guy names Noah that I thought liked me and that I flirted with, but a good friend of mine liked him and I kinda liked a different guy named Judson anyway? Well for one, I'm not really friends with my good friend anymore, not like we had a falling out, but lets just say she chose the wrong friend group and we just kinda fell apart after that, and I don't like the other guy Judson. So Noah is really the only guy who is even a possibility. We were txting a little while back, and long story short, we told eachother that we had both liked eachother not this past December/Spring but the one before, but I thought he liked this other girl so I just kinda dropped talking with him. Well then later I started crushing on Judson and he asked me, and then he stopped crushing on me and started crushing on the girl I originally thought he liked. Then things kinda just fell off with Judson, and Noah started and thats when Noah and I started talking again. But when we were having this conversation, I asked him who he liked and he said he did like that one girl, so I was like whateves and just was chill with us being friends, but he just recently told me that he didn't like that girl anymore and he knows I don't like anyone right now.... so we're just kinda flirting and stuff.
Haha yeah for my life story ^^^

Again...I'm so so so so so SO SO SOOOOOOOO SORRY... that I took insanely long to reply. Why? Don't really have much of an EXPLICIT clue right now... BUT ANYWAY...
Yeah, I guess class size does depend on the size of the school. I think per year group in my school, 180 kids and there's five years and our sixth form students, so an extra two years (plus Sixth Formers are made up of internal and external students so...), at least over 1000 kids as well.
Ah, that's quite smart what your aunt did. I'm thinking off applying for a part-time job to earn a bit of money, but that'll have to be in the summer after my exams, which are literally like a month long. But we get pretty much a three month holiday so that's fine with me. Because both my parents are foreign, they aren't familiar with the UK schooling system too well. I was just talking with my mum about it and she said that they didn't really care whether you got As or Bs in whatever subject, just if you passed your exams. Then, you'd decided what you wanted to study, they'd put you in that particular department in college, and then you'd get your qualification for the job you wanted to do. Tbh, that sounds a lot simpler than what we experience now.
Well, tbh I don't really remember much of Bush after 9/11 and Katrina, so I'll have to do my homework there. But then there was also the US Government Shutdown, Obama Care etc... so that's probably right. Speaking of Obama, have you heard of Alphacat? He's an awesome, hilarious viner and also a great Barack Obama impersonator. There's a bit of swearing in there (not like TONS of swearing and also a bit stereotypical which they make fun of themselves), but you HAVE to watch him www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3MLb2… and KingBach www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5KI6S…
No, I hadn't heard of the Penatonixs, but ngl they were pretty awesome
Woooowww, the struggle is real. Both of them actually confused me; they crushed on you, then they didn't, then they did, then on other girls? Wut? Imma be re-reading this over and over to understand guys and fail miserably each time. But dw, you'll find someone charming, caring, good looking and also someone you get along with and also share a lot in common. You're an amazing girl (...even though I haven't met you irl ) and I know it'll happen for you. As for me, and brace yourself: this'll be the BIGGEST BRAIN **** you've ever experienced
Said guy BROKE UP with his GF...round November time. I kinda got all happy and stuff, cause I thought that he may be to ask me out, but then I was like: I must be wasting my time. What did I expect? BUT...after I moved around November time, lots of things changed. Since I hang out with a particular group of friends, from different tutor groups, THEIR friends then migrated over to my form and started hanging around with us at lunch times. One of them in particular started hanging around us and then we all got on really well. But then we started to click with each other (i.e. me finding out he's a talented dancer and him finding out about my art, and then us finding out about each other in general). Of course friends were teasing us, which we tried to ignore. But then the more time we spent with each other (including after school since I was able to walk as far as the local town centre with him for me to get home), the more I realized I may be starting to like him. Cause there's a lot more to it, I'll probably write it in the next comment/ note even but it was the day before Valentines Day, I confessed to one of my friends that I liked him for a long time but I doubted that he'd be interested in girls.
I supposedly became the most Valentined girl in year 11 with three guys GIVING ME TWO ROSES, A CARD, AND BOX OF CHOCOLATES IN TOTAL- (one who I'd known since primary- he'd liked me since primary but he knew I never liked him- I thanked him all the same though / another who I was good friends with but he'd liked me since Y9- he's a bit complicated though) and the guy who I'd liked. So I got the shock of my life when I went into my form at break time, to find him standing before me, with a rose and a card in his hand And we've been dating since... There's so much more to this so...
TO BE CONTINUED...
