"'WHAT?!?' I screamed in my loudest voice. I honestly thought my ears were broken. H-He couldn't be serious! But as I stood idly, like a pop singer with stage fright, Father repeated himself with his coldest voice. 'You've failed me, Ludwig. You've all failed me, failed your people. And so... I decided that, to lessen the blow to morale that your defeat at Mario's hands represents... I've removed you and your six siblings from the Royal Will. Bowser Jr. is now my only heir...' That look in his face... That was the look of disgust, contempt, and loss of love. Larry, Iggy, Lemmy, Wendy, Roy, Morton, and I were alive much longer than Junior. We were trained for years on how to be Bowser's generals, on how to stand against Mario. ...But it was all for naught. After two consecutive defeats on Bowser's highest-profile plans, our father tossed us aside. Yes, we were still elite members of the army, but the title we lost mattered far more. We weren't Bowser's kids anymore. I... I pretended it didn't bother me. We all did. We all just pooled our strength, time after time, praying we'd be lucky enough to finally beat the red plumber and his friends. And each time... we fall short. He's simply too strong. ...So why do we even bother trying to defeat him...? It's simple. We want our dad back. We'll do whatever it takes to make him love us again... even if we end up dying. We... We haven't succeeded once. I don't want to give up... but I feel like we're only wasting our time. Sometimes I catch myself thinking... 'Maybe... Princess Peach would treat us like we were worth anything in this world.' She might... if we hadn't spent so long trying to conquer her kingdom, hurting her friends, and staining our reputation. We aren't monsters. Even we know when the fighting has to stop. My other siblings think so, too. At least... I THINK they do... They never really spoke much. They always avoid the question every time I bring it up. Indeed, it would be foolhardy to make such a plan in the event Bowser DOES forgive us. But I... just don't see it happening. Posthumously, maybe. But I no longer think it's worth it. ...sigh... The next time I see Mario... I'm going to try throwing my wand away and just sitting down. Maybe... Maybe HE'LL listen to us... He's too chivalrous to ever want to attack a surrendering soul. β¦β¦β¦..Right...?"
