I've done custom Vans shoes for a year now and have made enough commissions that I'm ready to offer them openly on DeviantArt.
I make the custom shoes all with COPIC markers which are expensive alcohol based Japanese markers. They work better than acrylic paint and are faster to dry, which means the wait time for me to send them to a customer is cut in half. I put a fabric sealant on all of my custom shoes. I have never dunked a pair of my shoes in a pool of water. They are still pieces of art so you should wear them wisely. (in other words, don't wear them to the beach or on a rainy day = common sense) Typically, a pair of shoes will take me a day to make. I work fast, but each shoe is an example of quality work and effort.

My custom shoe commission pricing includes the price for the Vans shoe itself, as I go out and buy the shoe for the customer.
Mathmatically speaking: Vans Shoe $50 + Commission $35 = $85 total (the shipping price is usually $12.00)
The pricing ranges depending how much of the shoe you want covered with detail and design.

An $85 shoe would have the front face of it covered, the sides and heel would be colored in with a base color or simple design

An $120 shoe would have the front face of it covered, with a choice of having either the sides of the shoe or the heel to have an equal amount of detail. If you decide to have the heel covered with the design, the sides will be colored in with a base color or simple design.

Finally, an $150 shoe would be completely covered in whatever design you desired, from heel to toe. The shoes under my examples are all commissions that cost $150

I am known for my Disney movie based commissions but have done many Anime pairs, as well as other cartoons. I can do pairs based off of photographs if you'd like a pair with family members or friends on them. I'm an open book and am open to new ideas.

I won't draw:
*Animals/Creatures (Pokemon and DIGImon are an exception to this rule)
*Hentai
*Naked body parts (boobs, etc)
*Furries
*Mecha
*complex designs
*if you are still in grade school, junior high or high school, I wont draw guns or skulls on your shoe (I know, its a pain, but you wouldn't want to have them taken away or banned, right?)

Special:
*I can do pairs that have one anime series on the right and another anime series on the left. (This does not just include anime, it could be a movie, photos, anything)
*I do draw pokemon and gijinka's for personal touches
*I will also draw OC's on shoes as long as I have proper reference
