Job: A book store owner who keep many informations on gangs activities, new and old in the secret underground room. He also digs out information through fortune-telling he did at the burlesque. (p/s: i do think fortune-telling with a little bit cheating about death and future will make people spill out their secret XD)

Personality
He eventually developed a personality disorder due a trauma happened when he was a kid. So, the personality in day time and night time is different.

Day time: Untalkative, mystery, perfectionist, a bit aloof and kind-hearted.
Night time: A bit talkative, cunning and a sweet-talker.
Most of the time: An avid food-lover and reader. He tends to ignore his surrounding when he started to read.

However, he does aware of this situation. He sometimes mixed the emotions during both time, and enjoyed the varied personalities. So, the mood is unpredictable.

Background:
Since he's 10, he lived with his uncle, James because his parents got divorced and didn't want to take responsibility for him. James owned an established book store. His uncle taught him to fortune-telling, although he didn't believe it much.
Unfortunately, when he's 17, the store was half burnt and his uncle got killed by a group of thugs. He too got beaten badly but managed to escape from them. He reached to an alley and fell down in front of a burlesque's backdoor. When he woke up, he realized that he was saved by the burlesque's bartender. His wounded was tended but he felt great trauma surged within. He shut himself for almost a week. The bartender felt pity towards him and brought him to the burlesque. Charles got quite a shock by how lively the burlesque was. The bartender told him about the gang, named Velvet Trap, and how the gang operated. He was amazed on how the gang could operated without fighting. Hence, he asked if he could joined them. The other guy didn't like the idea much because he thought Charles was too young to join any gang, but giving him a chance to prove himself.
Charles then went back to the ruined book store and collected his precious stuffs. He found the old stack of tarot cards that his uncle always played with him.
"It seemed you couldn't foreseen your death after all, Uncle..."
Along the way, he also found a secret underground passage which lead to a room that contains a lot of files and folders lined neatly in racks. He was shocked by the fact, the folders were the city's gangs activities and information. They were old records, but seemed kinda important. This made him instantly realized that James was with a gang.
So, he went back to the burlesque and eventually talked to the leader. He told him about the room, and he knew how precious it was to the gang. For a start, he asked for protection during the re-building of the book store. The leader granted his wish, and made him as the member of Velvet Trap.

He eventually writes all the records of information or secrets about New York's gangs he got from his own effort, or painlessly just asked the people around.
Owns a white American Eskimo dog, which he really fond of.
