Here, Peter is Crying at the feet of Jim, since he want's to be Jim's Sidekick, but Jim has an other idea for a sidekick, as Peter always becomes a monster when he get's hurt, scared or angry. It's been that way since.

Still, image being in Peter Puppy's shoes. Having no friends and being an outcast until you become friends with an absolute unpredictable lunatic who sometimes treats you like trash. I know it's all played for laughs but if this cartoon was played for drama, everything happing to Peter would be pure tearjerker.
