I have problems with the "multiply" shading, how do you do that? Do you use a darker hue of the original color, or give "multiply" option to a black shadow?

Create new layer. Set new layer to Multiply. Use very very LIGHT hue (I usually use pale pinks/purples) and start adding the shadows.

I can never figure out how to do colored lines. Could you give me some advice?

Lock the transparency on your lineart layer (some programs call this "protect alpha") and just color over them.

I like to color all my lines save for the very outside/border- which I keep black
but only in certain images.
What colors do you think work best for shading? I try red but it doesn't always look good >_>

I usually use warm pinks or purples, sometimes blues. But it depends on the context of the image. In any case, though, the colors usually need to be VERY light. Like almost white. Try experimenting with that a bit and see if it helps.
