In the Adventures of Tomorrow universe, I always imagined Inuyasha and Kagome's house to be slightly away from the main village, near the forest, but not quite inside it.

However, I've read a lot of fics in which their house is actually in "Inuyasha's Forest" (do they still call it that now that he's no longer stuck on that tree?) and I must admit the idea's kind of grown on me.

So I took the idea and ran with it for some well-need environment practice. I've never been very good at stylizing buildings/environments, so I threw in a bit of style quirkiness in there too, just to experiment a bit.

And the really great thing is that while this is technically another IY-related piece, it can also stand as its own thing, so....yeah, cool.

Also, check out this comparison gif between the initial thumbnail sketch and the final painting! no I'm not just showing you this because the final piece looks way better when being compared to the super messy thumbnail...not at all...
