Description This looked so much better in my head, I had such great plans. But the reality is I can't draw hands for shit. The wrists look beautiful, but what the fuck are the fingers about. I have never been able to draw hands, why did I think this was a good idea. Don't full view, it looks better from a distance.

hi, I love this page. It was so strange for me many years ago when someone first asked me if I'd seen Tom Philips' work when they looked at mine (I hadn't seen his at that point), I think most of us working this way just stumble across it by doodling, I started by cutting out sections of text from newspapers and then doodling on pages from 'broken' books. These days I use books that are destined for the bin/recycling i.e. ones that charity shops/thrift stores have decided are too damaged to sell.

I really love the illustration on your page too - it compliments the text so perfectly
