Description Hi, Well it's really Hot out, so knowing this would keep the birds and animals basically hidden in the cooler deep woods, I went to the towns Skate pond to shoot dragonfly pics. There was a pretty good breeze,so most of the dragonflies when they landed, the plant stems would wave back n forth,and I was always shooting a moving subject...this is not conducive to really sharp pictures. I did manage to get a half decent pic of this Amberwing..it's smaller size, and the fact it picked a strong Cattail stalk, really helped this pic, as it didn't move that much in the wind. Enjoy!

Hi Doug, is there a better version of a field guide than the Audubon book for identifying insects...I find my guide is lackingΒ  lots of info and bugs.Which one do you use ?

I don't have a field guide.Β  If I need an ID I go to bugguide.net/node/view/2591 usually
