Description Hi,   Happy Feet!
The flowers have returned at last!!!!
I shot the following flower pics in my friends front yard at the farm. Mine are always a week behind his, because his place gets sun all day and I only get it in the afternoon. It does the heart good to finally see these flowers....it's been one L O N G  winter.  Enjoy them!

They are crocus flowers. Saffron does come from crocus flowers but I think it's from a different kind than the ones in this photo. The type of crocus flower that saffron comes from only blooms in Fall.

I just looked it up, and it seems to be the case, indeed. The saffron flower does not exist on the nature, as it is sterile.

HI,... to be honest I really don't know if this the same flower that Saffron comes from.

Somebody else answered, and I just looked it up to confirm. The saffron flower does not exist on the nature, as it is sterile. But this is probaby a close relative.
