Hi, I went out for a bit this morning to shoot some Macro shots. I had the 300mm lens in the Jeep with me, so I went to the ponds sandbar / mudflat. I found a small group of these Sandpipers feeding away, So I snuck in and shot a few pics. Enjoy!Related content

Beautiful shot. I really like the interplay of orange rocks and the blue sky reflections on the water, and it's unusual to get such a nice sandpiper shot with the feet showing!

Β Yeah I was leaning towards it being a Least Sandpiper, but wasn't positive..so I titled as such.
That sandbar ? mudflat is wonderful for shooting early morn pics. The water is rich in Iron, so it stains the rocks that cool reddish hue, and the sun angle makes the water seem like a mirror to the sky!

I think the only other possibility for your location & time of year is semipalmated, but the legs look way too yellow for that.
