HI, Here's a shot of the Doe I saw yesterday while out waiting along the river for the Fisher to show up. She looks really good for such a tough winter we have been having this year so far.Related content

Hi Synari, I doubt they are being fed. this place on the river is about a 1/2 mile from the nearest houses. I think they just had a good year for finding food. So far I haven't found 1 winter kill deer this year. She won't be losing her winter coat till late May early June. This is when the new Fawns are born.

Yeah, I've seen them with the ribs all sticking out and the fur looking real shabby...This herd has seemed to found enough food this winter to make it so far without depleting the fat reserves.
