My gosh, this she-wolf is one big beauty! You're super lucky to have found such an amazing wolf <333

I don't see why people freak out about this, the wolf was already dead, she didn't slaughter it herself, not only that but it would have gone to waste any other way (at least in my opinion). sorry about that rant, lovely photo,

I love your workmanship. It is really beautiful. I don't know why people get so upset about it. Better for the spirit of that animal to be honored and respected through spiritual practices than cut up for 'fashion' and mundanely worn. I was wondering if you knew good places to look for furs that were legally culled for population control and such. I don't know where to look.

Vintage and antique stores are the best places to find furs. If you're lucky to live in a big city like me, you may also find some auction houses for estates liquidations.

The only thing horrible about this is to think that the wolf's pelt would have gone to waste if not made into a functional piece of art. If you have time to waste making idiotic judgements about something you didn't even take the time to read about, then you certainly have time to ask questions before accusing this of being "horrible".

Plus, yes I did read the description.
Im just allowed to post my opinion. The wolf looks very pretty, I just dont like what has happened there, Im allowed to say that whether you like it or not. I dont intentionally try to offend people but if you want to take what I think about it personally then go ahead :/
In my opinion, there needs to be some population control on the human race lol then they can stop destroying shizz to make more homes to accommodate their selfish needs ;3

''Humans are overpopulated.''Β
We are also the smart creatures who provided the computer you are currently using.
We take dominance as most likley, the strongest race on earth, and will be for a long time.
It is NOT going to change soon.

Humans are not overpopulated. That's a common myth shared by people with a minimal understanding of population growth. Humans numbers are not the issue (however, our rate of consuption of resources is) If you take any courses on ecology in college, you'll eventually learn that. But, in the meantime, here's some food for thought to dispel your argument yet again: [link]
Meanwhile, wolf population control works for the good of the environment and actually increases wildlife populations over time. Don't believe me? Take it from a retired wolf biologist: [link]
These are facts, not opinion. This is science, not emotion. I am not, like you, spewing idiotic assumptions I cannot defend with anything more than "This is just my opinion so you have to respect it!" Sorry, but your opinion is founded on stupidity. No one who reads this will ever take you seriously.
If you want to share your "opinion" be sure that you're actually sharing it intelligently. If you have nothing honestly factual to respond with, I suggest you merely move along, kiddo. Any further idiotic comments from you will be blocked. Tootles!

This Overpopulation Myth website isn't a particularly credible source. The Population Research Institute is a christian pro-life anti-contraception propaganda organisation with not a single peer reviewed scientific publication.

Good to know. But they do have several good points that are mathematically sound. My college professor never used these guys as a source directly, but taught more-or-less the same logic: Overpopulation itself isn't the issue; consumerism and the amount of resources that individuals are using, is.

This is not "beautiful" as other people have commented. This is racist and a grotesque appropriation of Native American cultures and traditions that you clearly know nothing about. I highly suggest you read the stuff on the following webpage: [link]

NaturePunk In reply to spunkmate [2012-10-23 01:10:52 +0000 UTC]
Native Americans are not the only people to use furs, bows, and wear body paint. My European ancestors did the same things. The fact that you discredit European use of pelts, bows, and body paint and automatically assume that this must be "Native" says a lot about you. Fur =/= Native Americans. Bows =/= Native Americans. Body paint =/= Native Americans. Educate yourself before you run around trying to play the part of appropriation police.

If you don't like it, don't look. Regardless of whether or not you agree with population control, biologists throughout the state of Alaska support it, and so long as wolves are being killed for the good of the ecosystem, I shall continue to put their pelts to use.
