My campus is in the woods, so there are tons of barn owls that like to nest on ledges of buildings. I'm just going to pretend this one secretly can morph into David Bowie. Taken in San Diego, California.Related content

Where exactly in San Diego is this? I've lived here all my life and don't recall ever seeing Barn Owls....though it would be awesome if i did!

It's on the campus of Alliant International University off of 15 North. There's another barn owl in that same courtyard that seems to have just hatched babies recently, too ^.^.

i had the same reaction when i was sitting out on my deck and i saw a barn owl land on my fence. i was like "MOM I JUST SAW THE GOBLIN KING!!!!" she didnt get it.

Fun as long as they aren't screeching at you. The best part is when one builds a nest on the ledge and you can see cute fluffy babies.
