Day 15: Favourite Doctor Moment About RoseThis scene breaks my heart every time I see it. You can see his sadness and how much he misses his girl when he says her name. He’s so in love with her and he’s hurting so much after he loses her. It hurts me to look at him. I think David delivered the Doctor’s feelings so well in that moment. He deserves all the awards.

In that moment, between her question and his statement, hell, even during his statement, his eyes were dead, the Doctor is nothing without his Rose. I can never imagine a better companion for him.

Absolutely! But there was never any possibility of a happy ending for Rose and the Doctor, Moffat and Gatiss just decided to make it as heart-wrenching as possible and rub the facts in our faces as well as rip apart a truly fantastic partnership earlier than necessary. Donna is absolutely brilliant and is such a great friend to the Doctor.

It wasn't Moffat, it was Davies. To be honest, Moffat didn't write Rose really well at all. All the heart-wrenching stuff from Doomsday to Donna's end is Davies amazing writing. They are his episodes after all

Well, Moffat makes really sad stuff too, look at all the times Rory died and how much pain Amy went through because of it and Angels Take Manhattan was heart-wrenching.

Such a subtle reference but done sooo well by David! The way his voice wavers when he says it as if he's about to cry gets me every time! I always wonder what would have happened if the cameras had followed him into the TARDIS instead of focusing on Donna. :')
