Viviane knew that Griffus was fast, very fast. Too fast to easily pass the obstacles, but with the right help - in short, her coaching the amber rook all the way - they could manage a good race. She however had to motivate said rook to take part in it, as he saw no point to do it. She more or less blackmailed him by promising to feed him only chicken's soup from now on. The ultimate punishment!

As the fox thought, Griffus had an hard time to run and jump at the same time. He had to stop then jump. Of course, he knew he wasted precious seconds each time. So in a renewed determination for the glory of the chicken, he jumped at full speed, but tripped on the horizontal bar and faceplanted in the mud. He could hear laughing. No matter, he thougtht, he was not a chick anymore, he could totally swallow his pride and continue the race in a totally dignified - and muddy-faced - way. At least, until he saw who was actually laughing. A perfect way to put salt on an already open and painfull wound. A. Bloody. Rabbit!

Viviane could only look with horror at the scene, already knowing how it will end... and also pray hard that the rabbit would not have the absolute brilliant idea to run straight toward the booths.
