Reminds me of Imatra rapids in my hometown. It used to be the biggest waterfall in Europe, but it was dammed already 80 years ago. Now they loose the water only in summers for 20 minutes a day. Those "shows" are just a shadow of Imatra's past might. My greatest hope would be to see Imatra flow free once again, like this rapids here.
