Acccording to some amazing books I'm currently reading, dolmens was created by our anecstors as a kind of brigde so that they could communicate with us and share their wisdom. They are to be found all over Europe and other places too, I'm sure.

"Dolmens are special stone chambers that are constructed for people to pass into the next life, while keeping their knowledge intact. Anastasia says that dolmens were constructed by a tribe who would build a structure for a person of wisdom. While one side of the top cover was held up, this person crawled inside, where he or she was to live in meditation until death. According to Anastasia, the soul of a person who died in such a special way stays forever near the dolmen. Such a soul will not reincarnate, but will acquire new dimensions of knowledge, which will be forever available to the person's descendents."

I highly recommend you to read them, they are some of the most amazing books ever written in human history

Thanks very much

After I asked you what a dolmen was, I googled it, and found a VERY beautiful site....I didn't realize a dolmen was basically the same as a barrow. Here's a link to the site. [link]
