Whoops, I mean current-gen. Whoops, I mean previous-gen. Maybe current-gen by Wii standards.Created in one day for this contest , which is why he doesn't look better. I chose Grounder for my character because he appears pretty simple, but I quickly realized it's hard to find a good reference image because characters are never drawn on-model in the freaking show.
I like how my journal entry essay on originality is sandwiched between two Sonic fan art submissions. That'll really give me credibility.

I'd go with previous Gen, the texturing on the Wii is actually pretty good, it's just everything is lower res than the higher spec games consoles, they just need to step up a notch to HD. I've actually been looking at creating Grounder myself so I'd like to ask how you went about making yours.

I'm not sure what you mean by asking how I made it 3D. I modeled it in Lightwave while scrolling around through "Grounder the Genius" for reference images.

It's there in the cartoon. Thanks to Ren & Stimpy, every male cartoon character in the '90s had to have a big ol' butt whether or not he ever digested anything or even sat down.
