Description Here is the completed diorama - a 1/35 scale Dragon King Tiger (Henschel turret), a cobblestone street base; a tank commander figure (Hans), two crewman loading supplies, and three freeloaders (Paratroopers) on the back taking smoke breaks. Β The figures really help you appreciate the size of this beast!

Excellent work on the camouflage! I've always had trouble with the flecktarn camo patterns, but it looks like you did just fine on this project.

Thanks !Β  I definitely had some help - I used masks from J-works.Β  I couldn't line them up like in their pictures, so I pretty much improvised with them.

I really like the ambush camo pattern.Β  Given U.S. tanks were pretty dull with very monotone olive drab finishes, German tanks offer a great deal of colorful options to the modeler.

That's probably a much better idea than painting the dots by hand.

Aside from bombers and fighters, most Allied vehicles from WWII tended to be pretty boring and unimaginative paint schemes. Germans and Italians got all the artistic designs.

Great work all around! Tank, crew, base. . .You're as good with armor as you are with aircraft now!

Tanks definitely have their strengths - I especially like not filling in a lot of seams on a tank model!

Yeah, tanks are the only models I can think of where if you mess up, you can always pass it off as battle damage.

Way cool - it would be great if someone made a 1/35 version of Q-Ball, but likely not enough people around to buy it who know where Q-Ball comes from. Β Perhaps a somewhat modified figure with a beard painted on would work!
