The line work in this piece is fantastic! It adds texture and vibrancy, making the piece look active despite the figures' passive pose. It also looks 3-d because of the line work and shading. That may not seem like much of a compliment, but that's actually difficult to accomplish when you use nothing but pen and ink. (especially with cross-hatching). So nicely done!

One thing you could improve on is the proportions in the figures. The heads look inaccurate, especially when compared to each other. The head of the figure closest to us looks squished, or too short. This is because she (I'm assuming) has an extremely small forehead, and the back of her head looks too round. Both could be fixed by altering the hair: making it have more volume at the top, and lie more flat towards the back. The head of the other figure is too elongated, especially since the top of his head is supposed to be moving back in space. I have no real advice on how to fix this, as I honestly have a LOT of difficulty with this pose myself. I recommend finding a reference photo of this pose, and trying to replicate what you see.

Another thing I noticed is the darkness in the figure closest to us. Her details are lost because you used too many intense blacks in her clothes and hair. Furthermore, it's difficult to tell where her hair ends and clothing begins. It would be easier to distinguish them if you added more subtle highlights to both the hair and clothing.

Overall, this is a very interesting work. I especially enjoy the details in the wood and the clothing. Keep up the great work!~♥
