hey nawnii! i hope you don't mind the comment being here but you missed my advice when you were streaming and I'm A Nerd

for the galaxy texture - id recommend picking two to three colors and making a sky sorta like the one you made on the right! you could make it a gradient if you want, but i think just mixing the colors with a solid brush works better for your style. for the stars, dots and crosses of different sizes can do; no need to blur!

if you're making a night sky, most stars(specially the brightest ones) are going to be near the darkest color
but if you mean to make it look like it's in space, stars are the source of light, so they're around the lightest color
