Honestly, I prefer Nier gestalt because the father has nothing else but her daughter and she is seek, hadn't many friends, etc... in Nier replicant, the emotions aren't really the same because..well, the father in gestalt is old, but, I'll do anything to protect her little girl, he don't wanna die because if he does, who will came to save her, she'll be sad and even more seek, btw, if this men hadn't anyone in his life, he would probably wait until death is coming. The brother in replicant has already nothing if I could say, he just have her sister, but he's young, and he isn't trying to save a person that came to life by him, but to save the person that have the same blood and he may hadn't seen his parents, when you play the father, you really feel that the sadness have been there when her wife has been gone, but the fact that he has her daughter can make you think that she's the one that saved him when he was in pain.
I'm not saying that one story is more sad than the other, they both are really sad, but with the father you really feel what he has been through for his girl.

The only two reasons that makes me loving this version of Nier is because when you have play at both, the two storylines form into one and (spam now) you understand that gestalt and replicant are the names of two experiences made with two girls..the storylines are beautiful !
The second reason is...THIS GUY IS JUST TOO HOT ! He matches perfectly with Kaine, the father is older so...imagine Kaine with a men over 40 years old xD

I loved NeaR and I'd love to play NeaR RepliCant but I'm a little hesitant to order the Japanese import because I'd hardly understand a thing... why does Square Enix do this to us... same goes for Type-0... I hate it...
