Description Assalaamu alaikum [peace be to you],

Many Islamophobes enjoy attacking Islam by claiming that Allah, the God, is unloving, merciless and unforgiving. of course these claims are baseless and anyone who takes the time to read the Qur'an will easily find out the falsehood of these allegations. sadly many people don't care to get their facts correct, they only propagate what they want to believe.

In this article, I'd like to share with you some verses from the Qur'an and Hadith (sayings) of the last prophet of Islam.
first I'd like to start by this Saying from our beloved Prophet Mohammed -peace be upon him-: "When Allah completed the creation, He wrote in His Book which is with Him on His Throne, "My Mercy overpowers My Wrath"'
Allah punishes the wrong-doers. this is a fact.
Allah is just, and he never punishes those who don't deserve punishment. this is also a fact.
Allah's mercy is greater than his wrath. this is an important fact we need to remember.

There are ample Noble Verses from the Qur'an that talk about Allah Almighty's Mercy and Forgiveness.
The God said:
In the name of the God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفَّارُ
"The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again."

translation of verse 38:66
in the above verse, God’s name الْغَفَّارُ “Al-Ghaffar” means that God forgives all kinds of sins everywhere and at all times as He is the Oft-and-All-Forgiving.
Someone may ask "but I sinned. will the God still forgive me?" the God already answered in the Qur'an:
وَمَن يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا أَوْ يَظْلِمْ نَفْسَهُ ثُمَّ يَسْتَغْفِرِ اللَّهَ يَجِدِ اللَّهَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا
And whoever does evil or wrongs himself but afterwards seeks Allah's Forgiveness, he will find Allah Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

translation of verse 4:110
We don't need to die in order to be forgiven. we don't need anyone to die for us to be forgiven. besdies, no one should give up on God's mercy for the God never gives up on you. he said:
قُلْ يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِن رَّحْمَةِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
Say: "O my Servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

translation of verse 39:53
Someone may ask: "Alright. What about the nonbelievers? those who rejected the God. will he also forgive them?"
The God said:
Say to the Unbelievers, if (now) they desist (from Unbelief), their past would be forgiven them. but if they persist, the punishment of those before them is already (a matter of warning for them).

translation of verse 8:38
Which means every nonbeliever, who desists from his unbelief, will be forgiven. there's no sin greater than God's mercy. even if you sin your whole life, the moment you regret and repent sincerely, you'll be forgiven.
Someone may ask: "Why doesn't the God forgive me even if I don't want to repent? isn't he All-Loving?"
The answer is simple: Well, why don't you repent before you expect forgiveness? It's not like repenting is a big deal. the God isn't asking you to pay him a billion dollar or to make 10 turns around the Earth or to do The Twelve Labors of Hercules. All he asks is a tiny sincere word from your heart. you say it and Voila! all your sins are forgiven.
The last prophet of Islam -peace be upon him- tells us that Allah Almighty said: "O son of Adam, as long as you call upon Me and put your hope in Me, I have forgiven you for what you have done and I do not mind. O son of Adam, if your sins were to reach the clouds of the sky and then you would seek My forgiveness, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, if you were to come to Me with sins that are close to filling the earth and then you would meet Me without ascribing any partners with Me, I would certainly bring to you forgiveness close to filling it."
the God is calling you, man! What are you waiting for?

if I'm right, it's from the God. if I'm wrong, it's from myself.

Arabic calligraphy is so beautiful. Very well done.

I am so very glad to hear of this interpretation! This is the depiction of God that all Christians, Muslims, Jews, Sikhs--all believers in God, really--should have, in my opinion. I have always had faith in the God you describe.

Peace be with you.

I'm afraid I don't have a specific link. I collected them through the years from different websites.
for example, in google image search (set the image size as "large") you can look for 'Arabesque', 'islamic calligraphy' 'quran calligraphy'... and similar keywords. such as 'Islamic patterns' and 'Islamic ornaments', 'Islamic borders', 'islamic frames'. these are the keywords I usually use. you'll find plenty. you can save them and use them. I usually change their color to look different.

I hope this helps.

People say the same thing about Christianity's God. I think this was beautiful, and people need to really look into this, because you bring out the message very well.
