Trade: Rarity Custom Plush (V03) for
Part 2 of my fabulous trade. Part 1 here:

Rarity is made from white, violet, purple and mauve minky. Her eyes and cutiemark were embroidered with a Brother Innovis 750D embroidery machine, Madiera Rayon embroidery thread, and Bernina V6 embroidery software. The eyes were designed and digitised by me. Her pattern was also designed by me. Her hooves contain poly pellets, and she has wire in the very front part of her mane, and in the base of her tail (I minimised wire use with her, though some was still necessary). She is 17 inches to the top of her head, not including her horn and hair. Rarity's mane was appliqued and satin stitched to give the dual tone effect. Please do not ask for the pattern, under no circumstance will I be giving it out.
Made for my trade with the very talented . It's been ages since I made a Rarity! She was of course the first plush I made ^_^. It was lovely to see how far I have come since my first, especially in the body pattern. I love this girl! The pictures do not capture how fabulous she looks in person. I wish I could keep her! I hope you love her !!

May I ask how you did her mane? I'm having troubles with it myself...but if you'd rather not, I understand completely.

How I came up with the shape? Or how I did the multi colours?

My best advice is to get some teatowel or paper, and your plush, and start mapping it out with that. The tea towel or paper will act similarly to fabric in the way it folds, so use it to test the shape/s on your plush till you are happy with how it looks, then do a test with actual minky. You will most likely have to use wire in her mane, so you can curl the cut out paper etc as if wire was inside to hold the shape. Make sure to use a reference too

Out of the many things I get to see on this site, I really, really enjoy the true beauty and stunning creativity that people can put into making their own costumes, memorabilia and plushes as well.
You work really shows itself for its level of labor and depth from what can be seen here. Β Think Hasbro needs to take some pointers from the fans on how to make their toys as your style is perfectly in sync to the characters of the show and even the way you manage to throw some extra fun in with being able to craft out a different expression from the usual wide eyed look with most plushies, well done.
Seems you really did your homework though to get Rarity looking as fabulous on the show and damn does that even more when you see her mane. Β Always had a tough time trying to draw it out but having to design it, sew it and make it so its just as fluffy and stylish to the original, damn that's scary. Β One more reason to look at your own work here for it attention. Β You give her mane and tail alot of curl and even the way you manage to catch the change of the purple and blue tones as it curls around and around, just wow!
Looking closer its amazing too seeing the how perfect the body looks, the way the legs and hooves form out to even again the mentioning of the excellent work for the face. Β You have everything kept into place and somehow you make everything look as professionally made as possible from the soft material used on her coat to standalone threads to make her eyes.
Do hope you take great pride in your workΒ Nazegoreng Β as you create some truly marvelous plushes that would make any fan of the MLP franchise drop their jaw too. Β And final hats off on you other plushie masterpieces you made from scanning through your gallery from a full Mail Derpy to even a few OC's along the way, quite the variety your able to do, well on you. *tips hat*

Other than her eye position, what has changed since the original design?

Thinner legs, improved hair placement due to experience. Apart from that it's exactly the same plush. I'd just be happy with what you have if I were you and not sit and find faults in her.Β
