One of my OC Sergal character I design, during off works xD, and during the time I was looking for our pregnant dog >_<Done in CS3 approximately 8Hrs

Aek-Dhur(Ayeek-duuuuuu) has a fur with pale cream color cyan tinted eyes, and has a noticable straight pointy hair, very slender body, very quick in melee combat. He's a dual dagger and a Glaive user.

Before I begin, I will be honest that I was a bit "harder" on this artist, not because they lacked skill but because they demonstrated their skills extend beyond technique. Take this as the ultimate compliment!
Now, to the critiquing. When I am reviewing the art of such a talented artist, I start to focus more on the themes, emotions, and details trying to be communicated or executed. For starters, your technique, especially with the fur, was remarkable. Fur is one of the most difficult textures to recreate, and I am deeply impressed by your execution both in that regard as well as the image in its entirety. There was also a definite character theme, and you pretty much met the "vision" aspect entirely.
However, I was slightly disappointed by the lack of individuality. It is not that it's easy, but you seem quite capable and if I had to guess, you probably just got caught up in the other categories, which is okay. What you sacrificed in one category, you dominated in the others. Give the character more emotion and more identity. Make something about him stand out that anyone, even someone who has no clue what sergal is, could identify. It has to be obvious enough to see, but not too obvious that it dominates the image. When doing art on a species fairly well known to the world, you either have to use a new medium/method, or add something special, otherwise it just becomes another sergal.
As for the impact, I think I would have had more of an emotional reaction if the "originality" aspect was more complete. I know you have details hiding in that head of yours you may not be sharing about this character, or at least not emphasizing. If you incorporated those traits, I can't see why this wouldn't be a five star performance!
Overall, this was a superb image that should be given more credit than the twenty or so favorites I see right now. Star faving this image! It deserves! This execution is comparable to the creator of the sergals themself, and that is saying a lot. The fact that I had to nitpick to such a degree speaks volumes of how high the quality of this work is. Keep up the good work, and continue making this great, quality art!
