Works on sweater sleeves, likely can work on socks. I know that from real-life experience, a person I know uses rubber bands to keep their sweater sleeves from sliding over their hands while they're working.

That's actually what my high school recommends to students so they don't get into trouble for not having their socks down.

Yeah, it's stupid. The school uniform has these ludicrously long socks that go to your knees, and it's against uniform rules to have them round your ankles. In summertime you look like a right twit if you don't have them up near your grey shorts, so none of the teachers have to work too hard about enforcing it. And in the winter we have long pants so no one pulls their socks up anyway. All of this applies to just the guys, girls have stockings and all that.
So yeah. Rubber bands around socks, then fold 'em over.

Eh, it's not so bad. The summer uniform doesn't look great, but it's halfway comfortable at least. and no one does the rubber band thing anyway. I like the winter uniform more. Course, I'm past all that now. Graduation - best night of any student's lifetime, lemme tell ya.

I hear ya on that - I couldn't wait to get out of high school... then again, I was too nerdy to hang with the jocks, and too athletic to hang with the nerds, so I pretty much got stuck in the middle where nobody was popular XD
