I haven't watched the anime, partially because I got a little bored with the isekai genre. But how is it? Worth it? I need something to watch on the weekends.

Honestly, most of the time the whole isekai part is overlooked, at times you almost forget about it.
The plot isn't overly complex, nothing really "bad" happens, it's an easy going and fun anime to watch.
It really depends what you are in to, but I enjoy it for what is and it's a nice break from other more full on anime.
