Well. In many countries, it is a commando thing. Navy Seals Boarding Team for example.
Or the german SEK-M Kampfschwimmer also do boarding operations, i think.

The Kampfschwimmer were their own force within the SEK-M. The SEK-M had a lone task force doing the boardings, the Boardingkompanie. Kampfschwimmer are only used when the situation is close to a real terrorist threat. In Somalia mostly the SEK-M Boardingkompanie does the boardings. But they are not Kampfschwimmer ^^ The Minentaucher for example were also their own special force within the SEK-M. The SEK-M joint force doesn't exist anymore though. They all are their own special section now.

For those that don't know, LPU is life preserver unit. The female operator's sporting one around her neck.

This was one of the things I wasn't certain of when I was searching for references, since their equipment varies from vessel to vessel. o.o
Or maybe I confused a regular life jacket for it haha, but the LPU looks pretty cool on a tac-vest though.
