Lest we forget.N'oublions pas.
Ah well, it's all fuzzy and lightly drawn, don't have much free time nowadays. Gotta draw dudes more often lol
Proper version should be done in a few days~
11/12/12 Edits: Shaded and tweaked the lineart, along with conflict dates above each character. Digitally shaded, played around with opacity levels and colored that poppy field (In a somewhat rushed and terrible way~)
11/13/12 Edits: Sheesh, I know it's late but it's the intention that counts.

The red flowers (dots) has me thinking of the In Flanders Fields poem. That was one of the parts of our war-literature unit I remember from high school. My class was shown this video among others.

Man, the song actually touched me. There is the annual parade from the Black Watch of Canada and people wearing the poppy during that day here. Sadly, it doesn't get much mentioned during school classes, from my junior to college.

Technically, we were a non belligerent country during this conflict, but we did sent some troops to Vietnam to enforce the Paris Peace accords. However, it did have some impact on us.
