Inspired by a photo i came across: static1.squarespace.com/static… .
A mastectomy is breast removal surgery, usually performed to treat or prevent breast cancer. I don't know the exact terms for all the different types of mastectomies, but this person had a simple or a partial mastectomy which is why they no longer have nipples (and no nips means no nudity apparently so that's why i did not mark this drawing as mature content.) They then got beautiful floral tattoos to cover up the scars from the surgery.
I'm aware that the flowers in the photo i based my drawing on are much more gorgeous than the flowers i drew. Well, that's ok. I was going for something slightly different (forget-me-nots), but they don't look quite as nice as those in the photo.
The person in my drawing is actually based on a new minor character i came up with for my story. Her name is Jamie, and she is simply a model for this drawing; the character herself didn't actually get a mastectomy nor does she have tattoos like those. But i do want her to have some flower tattoos somewhere. Just haven't decided where yet.
I realized after i finished the drawing that her hairstyle kinda looks like Gabriel's old hairstyle. It isn't the same, it just ended up looking similar what with the angle her head is at here.
