Just a question, and I'm sorry if I've asked this before, but have you tried drawing her with a white/light yellow pupil instead of black? Considering the chatoyance effect is simply light reflected in a certain way so it's always lighter in colour than the gemstone itself. Just thought it could look interesting and more true to the "source material", but feel free to ignore me if you couldn't care less

Actually her pupil does get white if she's poofed since all that's left is her eye qvq I haven't tried drawing her regular form with a white pupil yet tho 8O might try it
