Jack obviously caused everything himself but, why couldn't the vault hunters have found a way around it? I mean come on, there must have been a way to wean Angel off the iridium, she needn't have died.
Jack is a humungous arsehole but deep down he really did care about her even if he did treat her more like a commodity than a daughter.

I was hestitated as i was about to shut down her life systems...
But i felt grim happiness as i fired the (litteraly) last shell in jack with my ravager..
I wish we couldΒ΄ve turned the story of Jack in pre sequel so that he wont end up that way. Mainly for Angels sake.

I can picture Jack just crumbling to the floor in sadness, and that sadness turning into rage, and then, Jack saw his chance and... BOOM! "sup."

the sad part is how much he deluded himself into thinking she lead a happy life when it was really nothing but torture

The most interesting characters are the ones you can feel sympathy for, but still despise.

That was for sure the best part of the game. I was playing for like 2 or 3 hours and i was with a full team. It was so fucking epic. I think that was part was the one to make me feel the most from all the game. This picture makes me feel actually bad for Jack cause this is something that he would have done. Hope that the Pre-Sequel show us a side of Jack that shows this.

It was difficult for me to feel bad for Jack at that point, especially after seeing what he'd done to Angel. His love for her was twisted and corrupt. He used her like she was just some tool. Angel wanted her misery to end, and think disconnecting her was the right choice. I feel a tiny bit of sadness, and pity, for Jack but mostly I'm just angry thinking back to that fight.

Am I the only person who didn't give a crap about the story? One of the defining features of the game is how seriously it doesn't take itself, yet the ending tries to hard to be like, "Yeah, this guy is dead, and so is this person, and there's another one, feeling bad yet?". And the main villain, who was painted as hilarious throughout the whole game, became this hate-filled, soulless prick. Let me not take this game seriously, Gearbox. Plz.

I understand what you're saying, but ask yourself this. "If this game really was as emotionally distant as they originally painted it to be, would it have driven you to want to finish? If the deaths didn't mean anything to the players and the arch villain was really this funny dick that just needed a hug, would you have wanted to kill him at the end? And lastly, if these people hadn't died, what impression would this game have given you? Would it have felt like the first where the story took a back seat until the last hour of the game or would you have been satisfied with the game play alone enough to continue despite the sheer lack of immersion?" And finally, think about the actual genre of this game. It's an FPSRPG. It combines the actiony feeling of a First Person Shooter with the slow, enjoyable character and story progression of an RPG and still remains immersive throughout the campaign and even in the DLC packs.

I can't fully bring myself to hate jack. Yes,he's a horrible person and jerkbag, but he (in some twisted way) did truly loved Angel. Props for all these feels.
