This is a stamp I made because I wanted to be able to post this on my shout board to indicate where my families roots are from.Flags include:
Azores
Portugal
Spain
Germany
Netherlands
Denmark
UK/Britain
Scotland
Ireland
Northern Ireland
Flanders
Sweden
Poland
Poland (again, but more traditional)
Russia
Imperial Russia (my family left before the revolution)
Italy
and they all came to:
The United States of America
I made this because I have pride in where my families roots came from, and like to remind people that just because someone is "white" doesn't mean that their families always got along (historically or otherwise), or that their cultures don't vary. It's like saying that all Asian, or Latino countries are the same...WAAAY WRONG.
Flags illustrate differences in a very simple way, so that's why I use them. I tried to find a Polish Lithuanian commonwealth flag, or a flag of Silesia, or Prussia...but I couldn't find one!
Any who. Thanks for reading. <3 I wanted to add Cherokee and Choctaw, but I felt they might be more picky about people displaying affiliation with them. /end legal worries
But I am Cherokee and Choctaw.....

I was told that I am pure breed but if all humans come from 1 source we are all the same then so flags and nationalities were just invented to isolate certain people from others.

I'm 25% Polish, 25% russian, 11.25% Cherokee, and not sure how much Irish, but not a lot, lol. xD Great stamp also! It's really cool. Your family came from a whole bunch of countries! Lol.

Looks like we happen to share some Heritage: I'm Portuguese (Azorean, actually, but I still just say Portuguese), [Southern] Italian, German, Swedish, Scottish, and Irish (not sure if it's Northern Ireland or Ireland). I'm also English and French.

All the ones listed as flags and in the description so Italian, Azorean, Portuguese, Spanish, German, Dutch, Danish, British, Scottish, Irish (on both sides of my family, one is what is considered Northern Ireland now, the other is not), Flemish, Swedish, Polish, and Russian. I did not put the 'maybes' in there. We think we might be French, but we're not entirely sure. I also didn't put in Lithuanian, because it was another 'maybe'. When you get into any history it can become hard to really distinguish where exactly people came from because of how often the borders have changed or considering whether or not people could have been refugees from other events. Our Polish side looks like it existed during the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth part of those countries' histories, and obviously that has been gone for a LONG time now.
