Previous denizens of this realm, they exist on the fringes of our reality, unable to cross permanently into a solid form, little more than remnants of code long since removed from a greater program
They have been known to be stable, and even friendly, but some find the transition between life and death too much. It breaks them, twists them into predatory creatures, and creates something truly monstrous, capable of deeds far worse than the actions of any man.
