Description This Painting is one in a series of twisted city scapes I've done for painting classes and gallery exhibits. Quite simply it is inspired by my love of surrealism and fantasy art as well as the darker more foreboding parts of San Francisco which is often incorporated into my artwork.

This is very interesting! Is that acrylic or oils?
Very Impressionistic

The painting was done in Acrylics. In fact I rarely use oils as it is not a very practical medium. Oils tend to take way too long to dry.

I would think the drying time would be really annoying too. I have oils, but I haven't used them yet. Many people say that the textures your get from oils are better then acrylics. I suppose it is all preference.

Your blending of color here is very smoothly gradiant. Very precise. And the paint flows very well.
Also very psychedelic!

Thanks. The truth is acrylics can look like oils if you put a coat of soft gel over the finished painting to make the colors looker deeper which brings the painting full circle.
