The new personal ship of the Blackbeard Pirates, one of the Seven Sea Sovereigns, and most importantly, the true identity of the Ancient Weapon PLUTON. Rather than being built in the VOID CENTURY as many assumed, it was genetically created by Mother Sea, which was then used by her successors Flint E. Nothing and Flint E. VOID as their personal ships. It was then detained in the country that would become Onigashima before it was overtaken by the ancestors of the Wano clans led by Byakuo/Mars of the World Elders with the intended plan to use it against Imu to establish his new world order as he retires with the PLUTON being his ace in the whole. It served as the template for the Apocalypse Pirates' ship, the Revelation. In spite of Foxy and Byakuo's best efforts, it was stolen by Kagetaka and Cassim to be used as Blackbeard's new ship, tossing aside the Saber of Xebec- which was only used to draw in idolizers of Xebec- and that Blackbeard never truly loved the man as he was more loyal to Ohara.

Tempest carries the malign will to destroy, ravage, and cause anarchy. Though it was built to serve the Nobodies, it felt more comfortable with Blackbeard's dystopia over the Nobody's utter oblivion. It is generally more serious than the Infinite Dawn in behavior and is infinitely more bloodthirsty, violent, and savage- mauling ships and devouring their survivors. It also seems to look down on the other Sea Sovereigns, even though it itself is an artificial genetic creation as well as the strongest of the bunch. It does resent the hidden eighth member for being stronger than it while being reclusive and not showing off its strength.

Tempest is an ultimate biological weapon that was developed in the primordial stages of life- being refined over billions of years, capable of rapidly healing at an absolute, limitless, and maximum level; instant distance travel in moments; pataphysical beam emission that causes rifts in reality; houses a multiverse within itself for its crew to reside in, generate spherical barriers that warp attacks across space-time to hit different targets, travel through space-time, dimensions, and other planes of existence; freedom from laws that restrict it; negation of powers used against it; automatic evasion of potential threats; etc- its most important power is its ability to terraform the planet as the user wishes. It was given the Fate-Fate Tomato, which allows its owner to assign destinies for targets, perception of destiny, being protected by prophecy, create inevitable events, probability manipulation, event manipulation, etc. It makes it the evil counterpart to the Infinite Dawn- both are based on old ships from the VOID century era that were remodified for the present, have capabilities that are far above other ships of their time, and are reptilian with varying degrees of sapient. It is technically Vivi and Momonosuke- via his Nefertari ancestry- their weapon to inherit by their genetic nature but Teach was able to suppress via his Gears being overwhelmingly powerful.
