Holy crap, Ziggy saved you guys?! Thank God for that, what would I have done without your wonderful art?
As for the art, it's wonderful as always. I'm glad to hear that Ziggy-dog is being spoiled, he deserves it! What a little hero!

Dawww, I bet he feels like royalty! I'm sure the cats are less enthusiastic, though. Especially with him trespassing on the couch. Whenever our boys climb on the couch, they get bonked in the snoot, claws out and all. Though the younger one, Haagen, usually just grins and bonks the kitty right back.
Isn't it amazing how animals just seem to know that kind of stuff? You hear about it all the time, but it's still pretty unbelievable when it happens to you. I wonder if the smell was what set him off, or the noise?

It was probably the smell. Dogs have a super sense of smell and are able to sniff out things we'd never even dream of smelling.
Usually the cats just get mad and growl at him, and then take it out on us...

Awww, thanks! I drew this in honor of Ziggy who saved our lives a week ago. My husband and I were feeling awfully tired after dinner and we decided to lay down for a quick nap. Ziggy runs into the room barking insanely and growling at the hallway. I get up to check what he was barking about to smell gas... we threw open the windows and doors to air out the house and found that the knob on the stove top was bumped into the on position where it wouldn't ignite...
Needles to say he's getting spoiled beyond all belief now and there are a lot of my art friends on facebook who have taken to drawing the goofy dog in honor of him.
