Description .PNG AHOY (Why is there a black background on the small view only sometimes? O.o)

A companion to this , I suppose.

I've been planning out changes and retcons I intend to make to Yu-Gi-Oh! Heirs, and one of these includes an entirely new story arc. In true Yu-Gi-Oh! Style, it will be a tournament. As a result, I figured everyone needs new outfits. That, and I actually really like drawing clothes. I hate actually interacting with and trying on clothes, but they're fun to draw.

You might remember this outfit if you read the early Yu-Gi-Oh! manga or watched the Toei anime, known in fandom as "Season 0." This is the outfit Anzu wore during Yugi's first confrontation with Shadi. The jacket was colored blue in the anime, but black in the manga. I like black. Apparently so does Haushinka (all her previous outfits are also primarily black).

The small additions to it (different boots, fishnets, socks, etc.) were an attempt to give it a "punky" feel, since Haushinka--like Yugi--has a punk/goth aesthetic preference.

Also, this is the first time she's ever been drawn in a skirt. Ironically, slated to be in an arc where she kicks someone in the face. Harumph. Call it fanservice, I guess

She looks great. I love the boots. I want some of those...

Her hair is so pretty... and she's well shaded, too. I'm jealous. My attempts at shading suck.

This is awesome. I love Haushinka's new outfit, even if it's similar to the one Tea wore in the manga.^_^ And yes, I have begun collecting the manga. I only have the first three volumes.

I always thought this outfit should have been featured more in the manga, which is probably why I decided to give it to Haushinka when I rediscovered it. Also, the billow at the bottom of the jacket is going to make for some pretty cool poses with Gen Kaiba...

I've been collecting the manga sporadically since fifth grade. Very sporadically. I only made it to the first volume of the Duelist Arc. But I did manage to recently collect all five volumes of Yu-Gi-Oh R (mostly because I consider it kinda shippy), so I was pretty proud of that.

I liked that outfit, but yeah, I can't really say which one I liked more because of me just discovering manga... I only have the first two volumes of YGO R, but I'm not reading those until I read the Duelist Kingdom saga.

Anzu actually has quite a few cute outfits that were only worn in one-shots or supplementary art (The "Wave Body" outfit from volume one comes to mind). Considering her Duelist Kingdom was probably not the most fashionable thing she'd ever worn, it's sort of strange.

As for Yu-Gi-Oh R, I'm pretty sure it comes after Battle City and right before the Memory World Arc. It kinda reads like a published fanfic (since that's sort of what it is), but I got a kick out of it, if for no other reason that it being the characters from YGOM on another adventure.

I've seen the Wave Body outfit a few times on Photobucket. Tea's Duelist Kingdom outfit was okay to me, but it's not one of my favorites for her. Well, good for you, my friend.^_^
